Having the best health practices during the COVID-19 pandemic have changed us.  Not only we have changed the way we take care of others, but how we care from others. We cleaned every surface in our rooms and every corner of our business and still, we suspect someone we know have COVID-19.

How do we make sure he or she is alright? And what about us? What’s the right procedure to follow?

Today, GUTRIV brings us a small guideline to follow in case someone we know gets COVID-19 and we still want to ensure the continuity of our business.

Monitoring and deep cleaning

The potential of becoming symptomatic passes after 48 hours previously been in contact with a COVID-19 infected individual.  When seeing an ill individual, there are some steps to follow to protect their health and ours.

Pre-screen:

Before entering our business, we have to check their temperature and ask about their symptoms.

Regulations:

If our employee doesn´t show any symptoms or temperature, it is advised to maintain a self-monitoring task. If it develops symptoms, the employee should call their health program. Meanwhile, all the rest of the employees who were in the same area or in contact with the affected employee must check if any symptoms develop.

It´s advised to do disinfection and sanitizing service in our work to ensure the proper healthy environment of our workplace. Be sure to sanitize once a week at least.

Masks

Wearing masks is annoying, we all know it. But treating an unhealthy body is worse. For 14 days after getting the symptoms, our employee must wear a facemask to prevent spreading the virus.

Social Distance

6 feet between each person is advised to reduce the spreading of the virus. We know social distancing is unhuman, we are social beings and we need socialization. Telling someone to maintain him/herself far from us is no good. Is advised to let our employee work from home instead of doing practices that hurt the employee´s mental health.

Disinfect and Sanitize

Deep cleaning our office is fine until someone gets the virus. Then proper disinfection is advised to lower the bacteria in our workplace. After that, a sanitizing service must be done to ensure there is no risk of getting the virus.

Having a schedule to disinfecting and sanitizing our workplace is fundamental. Let´s be sure to do a disinfecting service at least once or twice a week. Also, we can´t forget to maintain a deep cleaning routine.

Disinfecting while having symptoms

It’s a bad idea to be moving around while filling ill, be sure to take rest and stay hydrated. Be sure to call your medical care provider, avoid taking public transportation and high traffic touched areas in your residence.

Although deep cleaning your residence is a nice chance to maintain your body, be sure to let another person help you out.

Seek medical attention if you have:

  • Trouble breathing.
  • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest.
  • Inability to stay awake or wake up.
  • Bluish lips or face.
  • Confusion

This list is not all the symptoms, call 911, or your medical care provider to let them know you if you or any other person need help.

Special note about the masks:

  • We don´t need to wear the mask if we are alone.
  • If we can´t wear the mask for breathing problems and want to sneeze, we must cover in another
  • Do NOT put a mask on any young children under age 2 years.

After finishing your period of quarantine, you can call a cleaning company like GUTRIV, that offers to disinfecting and do sanitizing services to reduce any risk of getting sick again or sharing the virus.
